(Washington, D.C.) – October 28, 2010 – Urban contemporary gospel songstress TolumiDE (pronounced toe-LU-me-day) has been on a roll. Since dropping her first full-length project, My Love, last spring, she’s barely been able to catch her breath. The CD, a collection of stunning, catchy tracks, including the project’s title tune and the slow groovin’ “What I’d Like To Be”, have caught the ears of the gospel music industry and have netted the artist numerous glowing reviews. She’s been covered in the Afro American, The D.C. Examiner, Heed Magazine, EURWeb.com, GospelPundit.com, PrayzeHymnOnline.com, TheBlackGospelBlog.com and many other media outlets. The artist and her video, with almost 20,000 views on YouTube, has been featured on Gospel Music Channel, Christian Broadcasting Network, ONE Gospel, MTV Base, Channel O, Nigezie, MBOA TV and The Nigerian Entertainment Awards.

The Nigerian and Canadian entertainer has been catching the attention of award shows, too. She recently received a Covenant Awards nomination from the Gospel Music Association Canada for My Love in the Urban/R&B/Soul Album Of The Year category. The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 in Alberta, Canada. She was also recently nominated by Channel O for their Video Awards in the Most Gifted R&B category for the video of “My Love”. That award show takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa on November 4, 2010. Last summer, she walked away from Baltimore’s Artscape 2010 SOUND-OFF! Competition as the winner, beating out dozens of other talented artists.

TolumiDE is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the independence of her native Nigeria as a featured artist on The Garden Theatre Company’s single from The ‘Heartbeat’ Musical soundtrack:
Oya! The project seeks to inspire, motivate and uplift the people of Nigeria. The collaboration follows the successes of her two singles, “My Love” and “What I’d Like To Be”, and her just-dropped third single, “All Cell Phones In The Air”, an edgy, hyperactive cut.
As the year closes out, TolumiDE will be traveling to South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria and United Kingdom. Her tour to the Motherland in November will be in support of her new record and international album release. For more information on TolumiDE, log on to www.TolumiDEmusic.com
